Mission

"Connected in Christ, we grow in faith, live with hope, and reach out to share God's love with others."

The congregation lives out this mission through a ministry centered on worship, Christian education, outreach, and fellowship.
What is Sunday morning like at FELC?

Gathering for worship is at the heart of the congregation's life together.  We gather at 9:30 a.m.  Worship at First English is liturgical, that means it follows a prescribed order and encourages everyone to participate.  The center of our worship life is hearing God's word of faith, hope, and love, and receiving the sacraments of Baptism and the Lord's Supper.

Worship at FELC looks pretty "traditional."  On most Sundays, the organ leads us in song and praise.

During the academic year Sunday school is available for everyone from grades 3K-5th Grade and is combined with Worship at 9:30am.   The  children will go to church on Sundays  with their families, then be dismissed after the children's sermon for Sunday school, and come back  to the sanctuary during the offering.

Confirmation classes for 6th - 9th grade will be on Sunday mornings with Pastor from 8:00am - 9:15am.
